"East Anglia oozes from Crumbs For Comfort. Cut them and they'll bleed North Sea; squeeze them and the sweet smell of tille earth fills the air. In the same way as the tunes of Seth Lakeman and Show of Hands summon up the West Country the songwriting of Ben, Alex and Vinnie bids East Anglia to tune. But this is no exercise in nostalgia, our history and heritage only inform these seven musicians whose modern indie folk rock sound may put you in mind of Mumford & Sons whilst leaving you in no doubt that they cut their own furrow."

Industry insiders have described them as "the East's answer to Seth Lakeman"; favourably compared them to Bombay Bicycle Club, and to Mumford & Sons (Sony UK); "unique" and helping to popularise folk music (Future Music); and diversely appreciated (including by Kate Bush and by an established Manchester label).

Thunderous and tender in equal measure, they write diverse songscapes with common threads: Truth, Heritage, Place, and - though scarcely mentioning the word itself - Love. And then they play them live, loudly, with compelling passion you can power your soul from.
