Anto Morra is a seasoned performer strongly influenced by his London/Irish roots.
He performed in London for the first time as a singer in 1988 and picked up an acoustic guitar in 1990. He moved to Norwich and between 1993-96 he formed an Indie Rock band called Fountain Head and played all the main venues in Norfolk & Norwich. He left the band to study Art at Norwich school of Art, and graduated in 1999.
In 2002 he started to play music again and found great pleasure in traditional Irish Folk songs. He joined the Ceilidh dance band Whirligig that specialised in traditional Norfolk country dance tunes and songs, and survived many changes of line up until he left in late 2010.
Writing songs has become a much more important part of what Anto does now and the years submerged in Folk traditions are paying off as his song writing is better than ever. He regularly performs all over Norfolk and London either as a solo artist, or occasionally with friends.
